I’ve had a crush on and been friends/aquaitences with this boy who was in one of my classes junior year of high school. Senior year we saw eachother in the halls and at church several times a week and we always just smiled, waved and said hey what’s up each time. Well now we are freshman at different colleges and we both happened to run into eachother at our High school’s homecoming game. He came over while talking on his cellphone, and gave me a side/frontish hug. We both said our usual hey how’s it going thing and then he went on his way. He has never hugged me before ever. Does this mean there is hope haha? Should I strike up conversation via Facebook private messaging and eventually try to lead it to having lunch together the next weekend we are both in town? I have no boy experience, advice is helpful!

Well it certainly can’t hurt to try! You both seem to be on friendly terms with each other, however there obviously isn’t anything overly strong just yet.
Strike up a convosation! See where it goes, get talking a bit more and then ask him out to lunch, coffe, whatever, just make sure that you keep it casual and on a friendly bases to start with. Once you start to know each other a bit more, who knows where it will end up going!
